 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS HOMEPAGE
 FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. International students and the Aix-Marseille CROUS
The Aix-Marseille CROUS reserves a great portion of its accommodation for international students; however, it is almost impossible to satisfy the requests of independent students.

2. Tips for accommodation
You must apply for accommodation between the 15th of January and the 30th of April, exclusively through the Aix-Marseille's CROUS Website here

Accommodation: a limited number of spaces
It is difficult to find accommodation at the beginning of the academic year, whether through the CROUS or through the private leasing sector.
Independent students may be accomodated by the CROUS only :

          Subject to place available
If they are registred definitively in 3° cycle (master 2 research or professional or diploma of bac+5)
If they are less than 28 years-old on the 1st of October of the current academic year at their first registration)

The following students:

Who have a bursary from the French government or from other foreign governments being managed by the CNOUS orEGIDE
Who are travelling under the signet of the European mobility Program or other inter-university agreements (ERASMUS, programme CREPUQ, Inter university exchange programs) have priority and should go to the International Relations Service of their hosting university in Aix-en-Provence or in Marseille upon arrival.

For all students, acquiring accommodation is not automatic and depends on the number of available spaces.
Above all, and in order to avoid all disillusion, it is essential to :
prepare the necessary resources in order to balance your budget and means during the year.
receive a written confirmation concerning your accommodation before coming to the Aix-Marseille Academy.
